Meet Your Instructor
Welcome! I'm Lynn Taylor, founder and lead instructor of Learn CPR Save Lives.
Helping others has been the focus of my career for many years. I bring a unique combination of healthcare knowledge, emergency response experience, and a passion for teaching that helps students feel confident and prepared to act when it matters most.
I have a background in physical therapy, which has provided me with a strong understanding of the human body, injury prevention, movement, and recovery. Combined with years of hands-on emergency response, this allows me to teach CPR and first aid with real-world insight and practical application.
I began my career as both a pool and ocean lifeguard, where I responded to numerous real-life water rescues and medical emergencies. During my time as a professional lifeguard, I performed CPR on actual victims and witnessed firsthand how quick action and proper training can save lives.
I also served as a Lifeguard Instructor for both the American Red Cross and Ellis & Associates, where I trained future lifeguards in water rescue techniques, CPR, AED use, first aid, and emergency response. My experience teaching professional rescuers has strengthened my belief that anyone can learn the skills needed to respond confidently during an emergency.
Today, I am a certified American Heart Association Instructor, providing CPR, AED, Basic Life Support (BLS), and First Aid training for healthcare professionals, businesses, schools, childcare providers, families, and visitors throughout Maui.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of training hundreds of students across Maui. My clients have included employees and professionals from Costco, Maui Oil, Ventura Construction, Asplundh, Arita Poulson General Contracting, Grand Wailea, Hoʻōlaūlea at Wailea, the Hawaiʻi Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) – Maui District State Parks, Maui Aid Society, and the University of Hawaiʻi, along with numerous private businesses, corporate organizations, construction companies, healthcare providers, massage therapists, childcare professionals, and many other members of our community.
Whether I'm teaching a single student, a small business, or an entire organization, my commitment is always the same: to provide engaging, hands-on CPR, AED, First Aid, and BLS training that builds confidence and prepares people to respond when every second counts.
